 5. Classification section In this section, Dewey Decimal Classification Scheme is used for classifying books according to the subject. In the classification section, its carried out as a technical service that is done by trained technical librarians assigned.

Acquisition

Acquisition section This involves receiving requests from the heads of department for new books, duplicate checking, ordering, accessioning of books and processing bills for payments are the main functions of this section. Acquisition involves acquiring new arrivals to facilitate easier and faster retrieval of information.

 The library is housed by different sections to enable provide timely services to our library patrons. These include; 7. Circulation section This section is typically at the entrance of the library and its divided into three divisions namely; property counter which involves keeping personal belongings and property of the library users within the library. security desk which involves a library user showing their membership ID cards for security purposes. circulation counter where by information materials are given to the library users to satisfy their information need.
